The average depth of Swanswater is 7\8ft with the deepest area being around the dam wall. The top end of the pond is around 3ft deep and offers
good top of the water sport during the summer months. In general Floating and Intermediate lines work well with the favourite flies being small lures (during the
winter months), nymphs especially Damsel, Hare's Ear and Pheasant Tail, Buzzers, Bloodworm and a selection of traditional wet flies. In the right conditions Dry Flies, Hoppers and Daddy Long Legs do very well.
