Swanswater

Set in beautiful natural surroundings, yet only 5 mins from the M9/M80 junction, near to Stirling. Swanswater offers fly- fishing from top quality trout on 3 ponds. The main water ( Swanswater ) is some 10 acres and offers bank fishing up to 36 rods plus 3 boats for hire. A float tube is available for hire or anglers may bring their own.
The 2 smaller ponds the Millpond and the Meadow Pond are stocked with the same quality hard fighting fish as Swanswater although it has to be said they are slightly smaller fish.

We have a daily stocking policy with top quality Rainbow,  Golden, Brown, Blue and a fewTiger Trout. All fish are reared on site from half a lb and only triploid or late maturing Rainbows are used. Swanswater is stocked with all varieties from 2lb to 18lb.
The fish in the smaller ponds average 1.75lb, but bigger fish are quite common. Golden Trout are popular in the meadow Pond where they can be easily seen and targeted. There is a wide variety of fly and insect life providing natural feeding in the ponds and tactics vary with the time of year and weather conditions. Many of our regular anglers are more than happy to give advice to those not so familiar with the water, so do not be afraid to ask. Weekly fishing reports are available and these will give you an indication of what are the most successful methods at the time.

Facilities at Swanswater include a comfortable fishing lodge with complimentary hot drinks; soup, soft drinks, crisps and sweets for sale; microwave for anglers' use;  toilets including disabled toilet; and a large car park.   There is disabled access to the ponds including car parking at Swanswater for disabled anglers.  A limited selection of  flies and nylon are on sale, and tackle can be hired.   
Tuition is available by arrangement.  A variety of permits  are available and we do not run sessions so you can fish at a time to suit yourself.  
Booking is advisable for weekends or if you require a boat, and it is always as well to check that there is not a Competition or other event taking place on the day you wish to visit us. The Fishery is a member of the Association of Scottish Stillwater Fisheries so you can be assured that the fish and all the facilities at the fishery are of the highest quality.   We also participate in the Trout Fisherman Magazine Trout Masters competition, so if you land a big fish here you might well qualify for a badge and a place at the national final.

The Swanswater Fishery is in beautiful Stirling, Scotland. It is a family run business owned by Mr Alasdair Lohoar and Mrs. Morna Lohoar. The fishery was man-made many years ago, is of excellent quality, and is fed continually with a burn flowing in. It is stocked with Rainbow, Brown,  and Blue Trout with many of superior size.
